American Legion Post 654

Welcome to American Legion Post 654, a community-based organization founded May 8, 1948, located in Spring Branch...August 19, 2023, we celebrated our 75th Anniversary, invited the community and installed our newly elected officers.  We are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness. Whether you're a veteran seeking resources and assistance, a community member interested in supporting our organization, or someone who simply wants to learn more about our mission and values, we invite you to explore our website and get to know us better.

Our Programs and Services

At American Legion Post 654, we offer a wide range of programs and services to support our veterans and their families, as well as our local community. From VA benefits counseling and employment referrals to hall rentals and the Post Canteen, we are committed to providing resources and opportunities that make a difference in the lives of those we serve. American Legion Post 654 relies on the support of our community to continue serving those who served. There are many ways you can help us make a difference and support our mission:

  • Become a member: Join American Legion Post 654 and become a part of our community of veterans and supporters. Membership is open to anyone who has served federal active duty in the United States Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, and has been honorably discharged or is still serving. As a member, you'll have access to a variety of benefits and resources, as well as opportunities to connect with other veterans and make a positive impact in our community.
  • Make a donation: Your donation can help us provide resources and support to our veterans and their families. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. You can make a donation online through our website or by mail.
  • Volunteer your time: We are always in need of volunteers to help with our programs and events. Whether you're interested in helping veterans access resources and benefits, assisting with our hall rentals, or volunteering at our Post Canteen, there are many opportunities to get involved and make a difference.
